TEXAS STUDENTS

If you have been granted the privilege of taking a Defensive Driving Course in order to reduce your points, you may also have been required to obtain your Driving Record.  Please note this requirement is not satisfied by the certificate of Completion you will receive when you complete a Defensive Driving Course.  You must obtain your record separately.

There are several types of records you may order.  Please check with your court to confirm which type they require.  Driving records range from $4.50 to $22.00.  Your printed record is mailed to you by the Department of Public Safety, usually within 5 business days.

Ordering via Mail.
If you wish to order your driving record via U.S. mail, log onto http://www.texasonline.state.tx.us/ for the address to which your request must be mailed.

OR, you may pick up your driving record at one of three DPS locations.

CALIFORNIA STUDENTS

The courts do not require you to provide a driving record.

If for any reason you wish to obtain your driving record, please use http://www.dmv.ca.gov/ and follor the "Driving Record" link in the middle of page to download a pdf form.  Driving records cost $5.00 in California.
